Adult Ministry

Christian discipleship is a lifelong journey. At St. Francis, we offer rigorous, biblically grounded formation for every disciple. Our aim is to make the riches of the Great Tradition accessible, whether you've been coming to church for decades or are just beginning to explore.

Adults of every age and background are invited to deepen their knowledge of Scripture, grow in prayer, and build relationships through learning together. You do not have to be a member to join a class or begin exploring the Christian faith.

Ways to Grow in Faith

  • Rector’s Forum and Sunday School. Teaching and conversation explore Scripture, the Prayer Book, theology, and the Christian life, helping us connect the riches of the Church’s tradition with discipleship today.
  • Tuesday Bible Study. Teaching and small-group discussion offer a welcoming setting to study the Bible in depth and learn alongside others.
  • Men’s Bible Study. Men gather to read Scripture, share questions and insights, and encourage one another in faith.
  • Wednesday Nights. A community dinner brings the parish together, followed by formation opportunities for adults, youth, and children.
  • Alpha. A welcoming setting for exploring the Christian faith, asking honest questions, and sharing conversation with others.
  • Newcomers Class. An introduction to the Episcopal Church and our liturgy explains what we do in worship and why, helping the Prayer Book become your own.
  • Adult Catechumenate. A season of preparation for Baptism, Confirmation, reception, or reaffirmation of faith, for adults making a sacramental commitment to Christ.

Topics and gatherings vary throughout the year. See our Events page for current offerings. You can also explore small groups or listen to sermons and teaching through our Resources page.
